Chinese technology company Huawei has filed a lawsuit at Lisbon Circle Administrative Court against a resolution that prevents operators from using “high-risk” equipment in 5G mobile networks.
Outlets report Huawei argues it is seeking to safeguard its legitimate interests and legal rights. In a comment to a local paper, Huawei said the Portuguese Cyber Security Council (CSSC) resolution has had a significant negative impact for the company and its partners.
The administrative action was filed by Huawei Portugal on August 31, 2023, and can be found on the Citius portal. The Security Assessment Committee operating within the CSSC, is named as the defendant.
