The Spanish operator will begin using the frequencies it obtained in the 700 MHz auction last July.
The operator says it will expand its 5G network in the band to reach 109 municipalities. By the end of 2022, Vodafone says it hopes to reach 30% of municipalities and up to 50,000 people.
Vodafone says users can expect to achieve download speeds 3x faster than 4G, as well as lower latency. The operator also says that apart from expanding coverage, its 700 MHz rollout will benefit 25 cities that are already covered by 5G and improve indoor coverage.
