Vodafone Germany says its 5G services cover 54% of the population

The operator also claims its 5G rollout is happening more quickly than previous generations.

Vodafone says its 5G network now covers 45 million people in Germany: more than half of the country’s population. The operator says its rollout is happening twice as quickly as originally planned.

The operator also says it now operates more than 18,000 5G antennas in 6000 locations. This means the operator saw a 3x increase in 5G antennas in 2021.

Vodafone says it uses a variety of spectrum frequencies for 5G, including the 800 MHz, 1.8 GHz and 3.6 GHz bands. The operator also notes that it uses the 26 GHz band in the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig.
