The Danish mobile operator aims to cover 100% of the population by 2023.
Three says it has also bolstered its mid-band 5G network. The operator is now operating 1,000 base stations in the 3.5 GHz band. The 3.5 GHz band is one of the EU pioneer bands which can support significantly faster speeds.
There are plans to expand the 3.5 GHz network further. Three’s network director Kim Christensen says “at 3, we also want to reach out further than just the densely populated cities. Therefore, we expect to have C-band connectivity at 80% of all locations.”
