The Norwegian telecommunications company has launched a new TV service that uses 5G fixed wireless access instead of relying on wired broadband.
Customers that already use Telenor’s home 5G internet will now have access to a TV subscription called T-We that relies on the operator’s 5G network.
The T-We service can be purchased as an add-on product to an already existing fixed wireless access subscription.
Telenor says this will provide subscribers with a simpler and more flexible TV solution.
Telenor says its fixed wireless access service also supports 4G technology. The operator says its 5G network will be fully rolled out by the summer of 2024.
