Three operators won frequencies in 900 MHz, 2.1 GHz and 2.6 GHz bands.
The auction raised a total of SEK 4.23 billion, or EUR 364 million. Telia Sweden, Hi3G Access (Tre Sverige) and Net4Mobility (a joint venture between Telenor and Tele2) will use the newly acquired spectrum for 5G rollout and 4G network expansion.
The clock auction lasted for three days and took 26 rounds. PTS Director-General Dan Sjöblom said the auction worked well as a tool to distribute the frequencies.
