Portugal’s National Communications Authority has launched a consultation on the use of the 26 GHz band for 5G.
The consultation asks stakeholders about the type of award and the assignment conditions that should be used.
The authority hopes to assess whether there is market interest in 26 GHz.
The 5G Observatory has previously identified a lack of commercial demand for 26 GHz as a bottleneck to achieving 5G targets.
