Spanish mobile operator Orange has unveiled plans to roll out 5G in the 700 MHz band throughout 2022.
Orange describes the 700 MHz band as “essential to obtain the greatest advantages of the 5G network”. The operator claims its 5G rollout will reach 1,100 municipalities, including 140 localities with less than 1,000 people.
The company said by September 2021, its 5G coverage had already reached more than half of the Spanish population and it had 620,000 customers.
