The decision follows a ruling by a Swedish court that upheld the ban.
According to Reuters, Huawei has filed an appeal against a ruling by a Swedish court in June that upheld a ban on the company for selling 5G equipment.
The company has requested an oral hearing in the case, but it will be up to the Court of Appeal to decide if such a hearing will take place, or if a ruling from the European Court of Justice should be requested.
In October, the Swedish telecom regulator PTS banned Huawei from supplying 5G equipment to Swedish companies. The regulator cited security concerns raised by Sweden’s security service SAPO.
