The Commission is now accepting proposals for projects that aim to improve connectivity in the EU.
The Commission is particularly interested in projects that aim to support Gigabit and 5G networks and contribute to Europe’s digital transformation. Improving services on transport routes is another target for the funding.
The funding comes as part of the digital arm of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Digital) project. The commission calls this new tranche of funding the “second generation” of CEF.
The previous project which took place between 2014 – 2020, supported cross-border digital infrastructures and services as well as free internet access for local communities through the WiFi4EU initiative.
Interested applicants can learn more about the process at an online info day which will take place on January 19.
