Bite says 5G network now covers 1.2 million Lithuanians

The operator says it is expanding its 5G network rapidly.

The operator says it is focused on expanding its 5G coverage to popular resort destinations, particularly Palanga, Karklė and Birštonas. These areas now all have access to the company’s 5G network.

Bite is planning to invest €100 million euros in its 5G expansion and the modernisation of its existing network. The company is using equipment from telecom vendor Ericsson for its 5G rollout.

It claims 5G will not only benefit consumers with higher speeds but says the new network will also reduce its CO2 emissions and make Bite a more sustainable mobile operator.
