Vodafone Germany announces plans to switch entire network to standalone 5G

Vodafone Germany has promised to convert all of its 5G antennas to the standalone technology variant by 2023.

The operator, which first launched its standalone 5G network in April of this year, says it now reaches 10 million people. Vodafone says standalone network technology will enable its 5G network to achieve ultra-low latency and network slicing.

It claims this change will make the Vodafone network the most modern mobile network in Europe.

The operator also claims its 5G network currently reaches 35 million people.
