Vodafone and O2 agree to share 5G networks and split the bill in the UK

A collaboration for the deployment of 5G networks at 2,500 joint sites outside London

In the UK, the operators Vodafone and Telefonica’s O2 announced their partnership through a non-binding agreement to cover 5G in a bid in order to efficiently deploy the technology at lower costs in a wider geographical area. This will enable the two operators to gain competitive advantage against their common competitor, the market leader BT.
Regulatory approvals are expected to end in 2019 after agreement of both parties on the detailed terms of this collaboration for the deployment of 5G networks at 2,500 joint sites outside London.
