Telia has teamed with Nokia and Huawei to provide 5G services in Helsinki (including the new Mall of Tripla, the largest shopping mall in Scandinavian countries), Oulu and Vantaa. The network was lighted earlier in 2019. The coverage will be further expanded to the seven biggest Finnish cities.
Mobile services (for phones) and fixed wireless services (for home broadband) are available. Telia’s devices at launch are the Huawei Mate 20 X 5G and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G smartphones and the Nokia 5G FastMile gateway and Huawei 5G CPE Pro router.
Telia sells two 5G mobile price plans under the “Rajaton” series. These unlimited price plans are mostly structured by guaranteed speeds.
- The “Rajaton 5G 1000M” or “Telia Unlimited 1000M” premium plan is charged at 49.90 EUR per month. It offers speeds of 1 Gbps and unlimited data in Finland, Nordic and Baltic countries. In EU and EEE countries, data consumption is limited to 25 GB/month.
- The “Rajaton 5G 450M” or “Telia Unlimited 450M” mid-range plan is charged at 39.90 EUR per month (44.90 EUR/month after 12 months). It proposes speeds of 450 Mbps and unlimited data in Finland, Nordic and Baltic countries. In EU and EEE countries, data consumption is limited to 21 GB/month.
Telia Connection is the home broadband price plan. It is charged at 44.90 EUR/month. It offers speeds of 1 Gbps and unlimited data. In EU and EEE countries, data consumption is limited to 21 GB/month.
4G price plans are still marketed by speeds.
- The “Rajaton 200M” or “Telia Unlimited 200M” is a specific price plan is dedicated to young people under 28 years. It is charged at 29.90 EUR/month (32.90 EUR/month after 12 months). It proposes speeds of 200 Mbps and unlimited data in Finland, Nordic and Baltic countries. In EU and EEE countries, data consumption is limited to 17 GB/month.
- The “Rajaton 100M” or “Telia Unlimited 100M” is also dedicated to young people under 28 years. It is charged at 26.90 EUR/month (29.90 EUR/month after 12 months). It proposes speeds of 100 Mbps and unlimited data in Finland, Nordic and Baltic countries. In EU and EEE countries, data consumption is limited to 15 GB/month. Voice and messages are limited to 1200 (1200 minutes of voice calls and 1200 short messages).
- The “Rajaton Lite 100M” or “Telia Unlimited Lite 100M” is charged at 24.90 EUR/month. It proposes 4G speeds of 100 Mbps and 12 GB of included data. Voice calls and messages are charged at 7cEUR (7cEUR per minute and per message).
