The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) has issued an open invitation to the auctions in the 3.5 GHz and 2.3 GHz bands. The auction is scheduled on November 10, 2020 and applications shall be submitted to PTS no later than June 30, 2020.
Up to 15 nationwide licences will be sold in the 3.5GHz band (3400MHz-3720MHz), incorporating a maximum 320 MHz of frequencies. One licence will get 40 MHz of spectrum while the 14 other will have 20 MHz only. The minimum bid is 100 million SEK (9.4 million EUR) per lot, 1.5 billion SEK (140.3 million EUR) in total.
Up to 80MHz will be on offer in the 2.3GHz range, split into eight nationwide concessions, with a reserve price of 20 million SEK (1.9 million EUR) per licence, 160 SEK million (15 million EUR) in total.
PTS also plans to assign 24.25-25.1 GHz spectrum by 2021 at the latest.
