Through the Qualcomm Wireless Academy (QWA) program, students from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, the University of Malaga and the Polytechnic University of Valencia will have access to courses and receive a 5G training certification.
The program has been designed to develop 5G skills and competencies of Spanish university students and to increase career options in the technology ecosystem.
The two courses, 5G Primer and Fundamentals of Cellular Communication & 5G, will be taught by the engineers from Qualcomm Technologies and will be free of charge and available to full-time Bachelor, Master or PhD students from around the world.
After completing the complimentary training portion of this program, students can register for Qualcomm Wireless Academy’s introductory 5G level certification exam. This certification can be used to demonstrate to employers that students understand the basics of 5G and how it works.
“This program and the collaborative work we are carrying out with these three leading Spanish universities is developing student talent and career progression within the industry. We hope to inspire these talents at the cutting edge of innovation,” said Enrico Salvatori, Senior Vice President of Qualcomm Europe.
