The Spanish government is offering an extra €116 million euros in funding for new R&D projects.
The funds are to be allocated in 2022 and 2023 for Spanish R&D projects. The funding is split up into two programs; one for the financing of 6G research infrastructures and the acquisition of scientific-technical equipment and another for the development of 5G+ R&D projects.
The UNICO I+D program is part of Spain’s Recovery Plan commitment to Promote the Digital agenda. The country hopes to become a leading country in the deployment of 5G and 6G.
