The Czech operator O2 has announced a new 5G wifi modem for mobile broadband customers which aims to reach underserved areas.
Dubbed the ‘O2 5G Box’ the modem will support WiFi 6 technology as well as 30 simultaneous connections. It will support both 4G and 5G networks and will be available starting in January.
O2 Czechia says it will provide ‘stable and fast internet internet’ with a speed of 50Mb/s. A total of 500,000 households will be eligible to purchase the box with a plan.
