Nokia will be responsible for the modernisation of the operator’s radio infrastructure as well as the rollout of 5G.
Nokia says the deal increases its share of T-Mobile’s network to 50%. The company will supply its AirScale equipment portfolio including Single RAN, AirScale base stations, and 5G Massive MIMO antennas for indoor and outdoor coverage.
T-Mobile is planning on utilizing 5G dynamic spectrum sharing. This will primarily be in lower bands but the operator plans on expanding this to the 3.5 GHz band at a later stage.
“Thanks to this cooperation we will be able to provide the best solutions and products to our customers and business clients,” says Petri Pehkonen, CTIO at T-Mobile Polska.
