France’s highest administrative court has ruled to uphold the country’s 5G auction award, after a challenge by environmental groups.
The groups, Pour Rassembler, Informer et Agir contre les Risques liés aux Technologies Electromagnétiques (Priartem) and Agir pour l’environnement, asked the Conseil d’Etat to annul every decision the regulator adopted as part of its procedure for assigning the “core” 5G band of 3.5 GHz.
The court published its final ruling on the legal challenge which ended in October 2020. The countries telecom regulator Arcep welcomed the decision.
