Deutsche Telekom is offering a 5G home internet service to a small sample of existing customers
As part of a field test, the operator will offer 5G home broadband to 800 existing domestic customers as a free add-on.
Customers will be able to attach an outdoor 5G receiver to their Speedport Smart WiFi router. Deutsche Telekom says this will allow customers to reach speeds of up to 500 Mbit/s, which will be particularly useful when the whole family is using the WiFi.
The test will be conducted until August 2022.
