The companies have trialled a network-slicing solution that connects to private cloud services.
Deutsche Telekom says by running enterprise applications in a dedicated slice, this solution addresses the need to ensure employees get the network performance required for a smooth and secure operation of their cloud-based workplace applications.
The company says the system is designed for enterprise usability and provides for automated configuration provision and end-to-end orchestration of the enterprise slicing service order.
“This successful demonstration highlights the potential of advanced 5G network slicing capabilities to enable unique and flexible services for enterprises, customized to specific needs,” states Kaniz Mahdi, SVP of Technology Architecture & Innovation at Deutsche Telekom.
