The operator says its network now reaches a speed of 275.6 Mb/s in some areas.
This is based on measurements conducted by the Lithuanian Communications Regulatory Authority (RRT), which show that on roads and in cities Bite has the fastest 5G network in the country.
Bite says it now reaches nearly 2 million people with 5G and has installed 450 new 5G base stations throughout Lithuania.
The company says this result reflects its strategy to focus on the best possible 5G experience. It says that instead of just making 5G available to as many people as possible, it rolls out 5G in higher frequency bands with better speeds.
Bite is investing more than €100 million in its “Next Generation Network 2025” project to modernise its network and expand its 5G buildout.
