Plans include the deployment of a private 5G campus network.
The Taiwanese technology giant’s IoT arm Asus IoT is working in collaboration with Media Broadcast, which is a German full-service provider in the broadcasting and media industry.
The first project will take place in the Technology and Innovation Park (TIP) Nordheide and will act as a sandbox for 5G and IoT technologies. The site is located in Buchholz, near the city of Hamburg.
Asus says the project will implement five IoT smart city solutions to help improve parking, traffic management, security, waste management and street lighting.
