PTS announced results for the first stage of its 700 MHz spectrum auction for 5G
PTS announced results for the first stage of its 700 MHz spectrum auction for 5G. The auction generated a total of SEK2.825 billion (EUR274 million) for a total of 40 MHz. After 46 rounds and six days, Telia Sweden won 2×10 MHz FDD for SEK1.383 billion, while Net4Mobility won 2 licences of 2×5 MHz FDD for a total price of SEK1.442 billion. The reserve price was set at 50 MSEK per 5 MHz. 3 Sweden did not take part of the auction. Coverage obligations are included in the Telia’s licence.
A second stage is expected to begin on December 11. The players will be able to bid for exact position in the FDD spectrum.
