  • All major national operators have now launched 5G services, including Elisa, Telia and DNA.
  • Finland first auctioned the 700 MHz band in 2016. The 3.6 GHz band meanwhile was auctioned in 2018, while the 26 GHz band was awarded in 2020.
  • In 2022, Telia announced a partnership with Nokia to deploy a standalone 5G network. The deal will see Nokia upgrade Telia’s entire 5G Radio Access Network infrastructure to enable 5G slicing to be used for fixed wireless access (FWA).
