A1 Slovenia launches 5G fixed wireless access service

The mobile operator says its new service will benefit consumers struggling with slow broadband connections.

The new service will use A1’s 5G network which it says will cover 60% of Slovenia’s population by the end of the year. The operator says its FWA solution will provide speeds of up to 300 Mb/s but consumers also have the option to upgrade to a 1000 Mb/s service.

The offering will also include TV programmes and content from the streaming service VOYO. Prices start at €17.99 per month for the first year.
