Romania and Estonia’s spectrum auctions are now reflected in the scoreboard which keeps track of 5G developments in Europe.
The scoreboard, which can be viewed online or downloaded as a PowerPoint has been updated for the final quarter of 2022.
Most notably, 5G spectrum auctions in Romania and Estonia increased the percentage of pioneer bands assigned on average from 62% to 64%. An interactive map of pioneer band assignments can be viewed below.

The scoreboard is being published in lieu of a full quarterly report. Due to changes to the 5G market in Europe, from now on, the 5G Observatory will publish two reports a year, instead of four. The scoreboard will be updated regularly between reports.
